MicahTek Employees Bowl For Kids In Broken Arrow, Oklahoma

(I-Newswire) April 7, 2009

MicahTek is once again proud to announce its participation in the 2009 Bowl For Kids Sake ( BFKS ) event. Bowl for Kids Sake is a direct fund raising program for the Big Brothers and Big Sisters non-profit organization. This year BFKS is celebrating 20 years of raising money for this fantastic organization. In the past 20 years BFKS has reached more than 20,000 individuals in the Tulsa area and is now the largest campaign for kids in Tulsa which impacts more children than any other single fundraiser event. BFKS is a fun and easy way to make a positive difference for Tulsa children. MicahTek employees assemble multiple 5-man teams consisting of friends and family. Every team member is encouraged to raise $125 for the event, which equals out to $500 a team. All team members bowl two games while enjoying free soda and pizza. The top fund-raisers will receive prizes and are entered into a drawing to win additional prizes including gift certificates and tickets to local attractions. MicahTek cares about kids which is why we are involved in this great event. If you would like to be involved in this benefit please call Big Brothers and Big Sisters today at 877-588-2300.

Many of the employees that work at MicahTek Inc., located in Broken, Arrow OK united with The Salvation Army to aid with their Angel Tree project

PRLog (Press Release) - Dec 10, 2008 - MicahTek's corporate office looked like Santa Clause came early this year.

Many of the employees that work at MicahTek Inc., located in Broken, Arrow Ok united with The Salvation Army to aid with their Angel Tree project. Each paper angel on the tree represents a child age 9 months to 15 years that is in need of assistance ranging from clothing to toys. Our employees provided many toys from bicycles to Easy Bake ovens for these children, to ensure that they are not forgotten at Christmas time.

While loading the presents up into the truck to transport over to the Salvation Army distribution facility, employee Keith Conners says, "The Salvation Army Angel Tree program pairs local businesses and organizations with children and seniors who otherwise may not have the means or opportunity to celebrate with gifts or often-times just basic needs such as clothing, coats and toiletries they ask for." Employee Jenna Riter agrees, " The Salvation Army does so much good with the Angel Tree program. We chose to join this outreach program for the first time this year and we look forward to participating for many years to come. We're surprised with the overwhelming support and generosity of our staff. Nobody wants a child to wake up on Christmas morning and not have toys!"
